Mummy's day

Had a spectacular weekend with my Megs minus the major allergies. She took me to the movies on Saturday where we saw 'The five year engagement,' which we really enjoyed. From the movies we both had our first authentic bowl of Ramen somewhere off Broadway near 17th. Forgot the name. It was very tasty. I had the house special, pork was melt in your mouth and Megan the Vegan Tofu bowl. Service was very good and you can't beat the price for the comfort and full belly without the guilt.

Took a long bike ride that ended up at McKinley Park where we had a small picnic with friends.

Dinner was what you see here while watching the season start up of 'the next food network star!" Love this time of food network.

Lobster Roll split with Megs. We oven roasted the tails that were basted in brown butter with ginger, garlic, sea salt and pepper. Cut Lobster into big chunks and tossed the remaining nutty brown butter sauce with with a gremolata of parsley, evoo, lemon zest, lemon juice, garlic, red chile pepper, green onion, sea salt and pepper. Served side of a fresh fruit salad of watermelon, strawberry, peaches with mint , basil, splash ob white balsamic, dash of sea salt and fresh ground pepper. Happy Mum's day to me!
