Chips, Salsa, Dessert





This was dinner tonight.

Home made tortilla chips fried in Canola Oil. When you make these you cannot walk away. Reduce the temp after first batch. Turn constantly as not to burn chips. Drain on Paper Towels and dust with salt immediately.

Corn Tortillas 1 pkg fried and then dusted with Chipoltle Pepper and sea salt
Second batch I made for Megan dusted with Cinnamon Sugar and you see We added them to Chocolate Chip Ice Cream. I only had one bite. ;)



And this one for Paddy with Vanilla Ice Cream and my "Jamakin Me Crazy Jam" from Monday's Blog entry. This was really tasty. Only one bite.




Salsa:
1 can of piquintos
1 container of sweet grape tomatoes diced
1/2 can of black olives, chopped
1/2 Serrano chile, diced fine
1/2 small red onion diced fine
Cilantro and Italian Parsley rough chopped
Juice of one lime
S&P
EVOO

nice, I make these chips all the time...my son calls it 'nacho cheese with nacho chips' pretty much calls it like it is.
